Condor Posted September 17, 2014 #1 Posted September 17, 2014 Thought this was gonna be about shocks... didn't ya.... I received an eMail this morning with all sorts of suggestions on how to use Bounce... those smell good drier sheets. A lot of the suggestions had to do with static cling and how to use them to repel dust. So got to thinking. When my bikes are stored for a time the covers never seem to keep dust from getting up under the bottom edge, and it's always a job to dust it off before taking it for a ride. The next time I detail a bike, I'm going to give it a try and take a couple of sheets and wipe down the bike before putting the cover back on. I'll let you know if it works?? Also Bounce sheets can be use to repel critters and insects. I don't have the problem, but from what I've read here on the board, mice seems to like mufflers. A sheet stuffed up the tip will keep mice from making a home over the winter.

If you use bounce in them, don't forget to take them out!! 'Pledge' works good too for cleaning things..........

Pledge works great for cleaning bugs off the windshield, and wiping down the scoot, however it doesn't repel dust. MOF it may attract it....?? It also works good as an ant spray....
djh3 Posted September 17, 2014 #4 Posted September 17, 2014 Down here in the Fla area we have a real problem with what is referred to as "love bugs" Now as the story goes this major university in Gainesville created these things to eat mosquito larvae. but because they are a laboratory bug nothing eats them. So their only enemy is a car, truck etc. They come and go in like 2 week cycles in the fall and spring and move in sort of a wave from one end of the state to the other. The best thing I have found to get them off your car, bike whatever is a bucket of water and a bounce sheet. I'm sure it would work for other bugs also. I sure wish we could ship some of these up to Wisconsin to help with their skeeter control.
Triple J Posted September 17, 2014 #5 Posted September 17, 2014 they work well for removing MN bugs off the front end as well, windshield included.
Dragonslayer Posted September 17, 2014 #6 Posted September 17, 2014 If you got critters and insects in your bike, your not riding it enough. Just saying:soapbox:
