SilvrT Posted September 16, 2014 #1 Posted September 16, 2014 The "W" stands for Water-Cooled I think they need to do more research on water-cooled engine design....

cowpuc Posted September 16, 2014 #4 Posted September 16, 2014 THAT is the reason that I have ALWAYS liked high scrambler pipes!! I think if he would have had em he would have made it!! Pity the guy who gets this one out of salvage,,,, take that back,,, probably get a bunch of free trout when he drains the engine and tranny fluids.. Seriously,, hope who ever was involved is ok!!

djh3 Posted September 17, 2014 #10 Posted September 17, 2014 Kirby, if they are looking into watercraft, I sure hope they do a better job that they did with snowmobiles.
Beau-Kat Posted September 17, 2014 #11 Posted September 17, 2014 At least it looks like it has its own fishing pole on the back.
Beau-Kat Posted September 17, 2014 #12 Posted September 17, 2014 I wonder if he was following the GPS directions? That's not a gps they got mounted there. It's a fish finder.
Dragonslayer Posted September 17, 2014 #13 Posted September 17, 2014 Maybe Harley is trying to break into the Jetski business????Believe it or not, Harley started the jetski business. If you don't believe me go see the wooden Harley built personal watercraft on display at Wheels of Time in Maggie Valley, N.C.
SilvrT Posted September 17, 2014 Author #14 Posted September 17, 2014 Believe it or not, Harley started the jetski business. If you don't believe me go see the wooden Harley built personal watercraft on display at Wheels of Time in Maggie Valley, N.C. Did Harley actually build it or is it just that it had a Harley engine? http://www.wheelsthroughtime.com/category/feature-exhibits/home-made-america/
djh3 Posted September 17, 2014 #15 Posted September 17, 2014 Yup I seen it. But it was privately built. Probably used a HD for the same reason most short track race cars are Chevy. Lots of them around cheap. And that thing was down right scary looking. Kind of like a piece of plywood with a chair and steering wheel on it if I remember right.
icebrrg3rd Posted September 18, 2014 #16 Posted September 18, 2014 I bet a dirty old quarter the engine is flooded And here I thought you couldn't flood a fuel-injected engine... -Andrew
Freebird Posted September 18, 2014 #18 Posted September 18, 2014 The good news is that it can't sink any further.....it's sitting on my lawnmower. Those who have been around a while will know what this is about.
etcswjoe Posted September 18, 2014 #19 Posted September 18, 2014 I was trying to find the original article but good not find it, I was thinking he road it away after they got it pulled out. Somebody refresh my memory.
saddlebum Posted September 19, 2014 #21 Posted September 19, 2014 I bet a dirty old quarter the engine is floodedYou think maybe if he opens the choke and holds the throttle wide open while cranking it over he will un-flood it
