Daveand Barbie Posted September 24, 2014 #26 Posted September 24, 2014 Grand Jury returns in less that an hour to render a decision. They found no abberation in the driving of Tony Stewart which absolves him of culpability. Also, the grand jury had access to all the information, including the autopsy report, which revealed THC. With that information now released, I would rather doubt any civil litigation. This is just very sad in all respects.
Yammer Dan Posted September 24, 2014 Author #27 Posted September 24, 2014 I guess all those years dealing with convict scum has me looking at things too closely. Tony is the one that has to live with it. Just a old expression "History equals Future" keeps coming to mind. Guy should not have been on track!!! Did he see him in enough time to do anything??? I don't have to sleep with it. Killing a fellow human being is very hard to live with no matter what the who's ,what's, why's or when's. Thanks for the opinions.
mother Posted September 24, 2014 #28 Posted September 24, 2014 Why was Ward racing while impaired. A race car driver never exits his vehicle unless on fire. Nobody in their right mind would purposely run someone over. Especially an experienced professional race car driver. If mandatory drug testing was in place, Ward would not have been on the track. Now both families lives have changed.
bmxndad Posted September 25, 2014 #29 Posted September 25, 2014 This incident did not shed a good light on short track racing. Tony Stewart would never intentionally do anything that hurts short track racing.
Flyinfool Posted September 25, 2014 #30 Posted September 25, 2014 Today was the first I heard that ward had enough weed in him to have significantly impaired judgement. That really changes things.
Skid Posted September 25, 2014 #31 Posted September 25, 2014 You can't be too quick to judge because you only hear part of the story on the news first. I guess that's how they keep you listening for the "rest of the story".
