azxvz1284 Posted September 16, 2014 #1 Posted September 16, 2014 I would like to have tip-over bars that would protect the upper fairing on the First Gen. Any ideas?? Thanks, Richard
camos Posted September 17, 2014 #2 Posted September 17, 2014 I've been thinking about that too. Something similar in design to the ones for the Honda ST 1300 paired with the one for the V-Strom might work. Keeping the OEM engine guard would be a plus as well. There are a few pix here of both types. This would of course be a custom venture for the Venture.
azxvz1284 Posted September 18, 2014 Author #3 Posted September 18, 2014 Thanks, I had seen the 1300 bars on police bikes and thought that might work, with some bracket welding. Richard
ricksbike Posted September 19, 2014 #4 Posted September 19, 2014 Gee,I could have really used a set last week when my lovely wife backed into my 92VR and knocked it over, worst view I`ve ever had of my bike,I could see both tires and my whole exhaust system.
djh3 Posted September 19, 2014 #5 Posted September 19, 2014 So did you scratch its belly while it was rolling over for you?

paysaw Posted September 23, 2014 #7 Posted September 23, 2014 (edited) Here are a set of rare crash bars that came from an 86 Venture I have that are moving on to a new home. They bolt up to the OEM bolt holes and offer tip over protection. I have not seen a pair like this ever for this year of bike. Edited September 23, 2014 by paysaw
