videoarizona Posted September 14, 2014 #1 Posted September 14, 2014 (edited) The originals I ordered finally came in. Took about 30 minutes to "slip" them on. Yea right. Followed directions...not an easy chore...but they did finally go on. They are confortable and just enough bigger to make it easier on my hands! cowpuc Posted September 14, 2014 #2 Posted September 14, 2014 and its always those little "Tweeks" that make a fun ride on the scoot that much funner at the end of the day!! WAY TO GO VIDEO!! Looks great!!
Condor Posted September 14, 2014 #3 Posted September 14, 2014 The '83's grips were gonners when I bought the bike, so picked up a set of new foam replacements from Buckeye. Cut the old ones off, and after boiling the grips they slipped right on. They fit fine since I have such tiny hands...
syscrusher Posted September 14, 2014 #4 Posted September 14, 2014 You may not know what I'm talking about if you didn't ride bicycles at some point but are these like the foam tubes that you would slide over your handlebar instead of wrapping them with cork tape?
videoarizona Posted September 14, 2014 Author #5 Posted September 14, 2014 You may not know what I'm talking about if you didn't ride bicycles at some point but are these like the foam tubes that you would slide over your handlebar instead of wrapping them with cork tape? Yep...but much better quality. They are very well made! Superior to the cheap ones on the internet... I was fighting to get them on...using soap and water and a big screwdriver to separate one side so I could pull it up. Never even thought of tearing apart...they are that strong!
slowrollwv Posted September 15, 2014 #6 Posted September 15, 2014 When I put them on mine, I used an air hose and they went on in about three minutes. Then trimmed to length.
Ventureless Posted September 15, 2014 #7 Posted September 15, 2014 I put a set on my Concours when I had it. Mine went right on as well. I sprayed the inside with hairspray and slid them on. Not only did they go right on, the hairspray glued them in place and they never moved.
videoarizona Posted September 15, 2014 Author #8 Posted September 15, 2014 That's what I get for following directions! Even said on package, compressed air not needed! Geesh!
