Guest rooster522 Posted March 17, 2008 #1 Posted March 17, 2008 well after many miles of riding and figuring i have come to the following conclusions about the new sound. i have noticed a drop off in my fuel mileage. about 15 miles on a tank of gas. its not to b aD,considering what the cost of gas is. any further info will be posted thanks well has anyone eles found a drop in fuel milege after changing there stock pipes? is there any thing to do about it? let us know about it

fwbpastor Posted April 4, 2011 #3 Posted April 4, 2011 After putting louder pipes on my 08 RSV I noticed I was getting about 8 mpg less than my stock pipes. I decided to put the stock pipes back on.

When you change out your stock muffs to RK's or other brands, it's advisable to re-sync the carbs. This might have something to do with fuel mileage drop and 8mpg is quite a lot IMO.
