Guest rooster522 Posted March 17, 2008 Posted March 17, 2008 well after many miles of riding and figuring i have come to the following conclusions about the new sound. i have noticed a drop off in my fuel mileage. about 15 miles on a tank of gas. its not to b aD,considering what the cost of gas is. any further info will be posted thanks well has anyone eles found a drop in fuel milege after changing there stock pipes? is there any thing to do about it? let us know about it

fwbpastor Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 After putting louder pipes on my 08 RSV I noticed I was getting about 8 mpg less than my stock pipes. I decided to put the stock pipes back on.

When you change out your stock muffs to RK's or other brands, it's advisable to re-sync the carbs. This might have something to do with fuel mileage drop and 8mpg is quite a lot IMO.
