GolfVenture Posted August 30, 2014 #1 Posted August 30, 2014 I was looking for a set of car ramps for my trailer of which the bed stands 24 inches of the ground. The ramps are 10 feet long, which creates an angle of approach and a high center of 11.53 degrees. I found a car display rack selling for $495.00. Asked what the seller would go down to. He said $400.00. I told him I would think about it and get back to him. Later I offered him $300.00 and he accepted. I found similar new ones online going for $1260.00 plus $750.00 for shipping. This will be great for my new shop/garage that is currently in the planning stage.
Condor Posted August 30, 2014 #3 Posted August 30, 2014 Yep.... One man's trash is another's treasure.... Looks like the start of a great garage.....
ACE50 Posted August 30, 2014 #5 Posted August 30, 2014 I got tired of my loud 15 yr old Craftsman air compressor in the basement. Put on craigslist, gone in 6 hours. Only asked $100. Bought a ultra quiet California Air Tools one. Love it!
Guest tx2sturgis Posted August 30, 2014 #6 Posted August 30, 2014 Just think the attention that will get in your front yard if you need to sell a car locally! Very cool....
cowpuc Posted August 30, 2014 #7 Posted August 30, 2014 How cool is that! Good on ya GnV and congrats!
djh3 Posted August 31, 2014 #8 Posted August 31, 2014 Sometimes it amazing what you find. I have got some good buys. I bought a first gear roll aboard bag that attaches to the sissy bar that new was like 250. I gave about 50. Simular deal on a really nice cortech huge like e0 liter bag. 25 bucks. Its a good outlet for us "frugal" shoppers.
Mike G in SC Posted August 31, 2014 #9 Posted August 31, 2014 Several weeks ago, was posting here about MC jacks. Someone said you can beat the Pitt Bull jack. (I knew that) I looked on Craigslist and found one for half price 100 miles away. Had it that afternoon. I plan to retire in May. Pretty sure I can find the bass boat I want then.
