CMCOFFEY Posted August 30, 2014 Author #28 Posted August 30, 2014 In beaver Utah tail lights stopped working replaced fuse, back in business. Heading to st George, then home.
CMCOFFEY Posted August 30, 2014 Author #29 Posted August 30, 2014 Fuse blew again, a Utah highway patrolman was nice enough to pull me over and let me know:whistling: so I finished the trip to st George Utah with my hazards on. Upon further review of the wiring, I am very lucky to be only missing tail lights. I'll post pics when I get some time to fix all the wiring.
CMCOFFEY Posted August 30, 2014 Author #30 Posted August 30, 2014 Made it home. It's 1:03 local time. Going to bed.

cowpuc Posted August 30, 2014 #34 Posted August 30, 2014 BEAUTIFUL!! THANKS SARGE!! My goodness, that Blue 1st Gen, born if February of 1984 is GORGEOUS (so is Genesis too)!! You done good champ!!:cool10:
CMCOFFEY Posted August 30, 2014 Author #35 Posted August 30, 2014 You got the names mixed. I guess I have too many bikes to keep track of. Genisis is the 1st gen, Exodus is my fat green lady. I don't think I can refer to Genisis as a lady after how she treated those Rocky Mountains. That is where I fell in love with her.

PLEASE dont tell those bikes I did that, would hate to get kicked by one of em next time we are out there!!
kantornado Posted August 31, 2014 #37 Posted August 31, 2014 Great looking 1st gen and I like your 2nd gen also. good find and buy.
Peder_y2k Posted August 31, 2014 #38 Posted August 31, 2014 So, now you have several hundred miles and the Rocky Mts and superslabs on a 1st gen, how would you compare the 1st gen vs. 2nd? -Pete, in Tacoma WA USA
CMCOFFEY Posted August 31, 2014 Author #39 Posted August 31, 2014 They are truly 2 different bikes. One is a touring bike, and the other is a sport tourer or as Dave out it a sport bike with bags.
Evan Posted August 31, 2014 #40 Posted August 31, 2014 Good looking stable mates. Glad they are getting along. Looking forward to more stories as you are able to ride and compare both.
CMCOFFEY Posted September 1, 2014 Author #42 Posted September 1, 2014 Mine looks like a parts bike right now. I am redoing to wiring to aftermarket lights and horns, and to the fuse box. I should get her pinned back up tonight. Getting back on the green one this morning was weird. I almost missed the right side floor board completely. The whole thing just seemed short and very tightly put together. It was a boat during low speed maneuvers.
Ben Rollins Posted September 1, 2014 #43 Posted September 1, 2014 (edited) I 'll trade you an 83 for the green one on second thought I wouldn't know what to do without Gloria. Edited September 1, 2014 by Ben Rollins
bikerjohn Posted September 1, 2014 #44 Posted September 1, 2014 Hey brother ride safe my prayers are with you John
CMCOFFEY Posted September 1, 2014 Author #45 Posted September 1, 2014 I 'll trade you an 83 for the green one on second thought I wouldn't know what to do without Gloria. Nope gotta keep the ones I have. I do need to eventually add an MKII to my stable...for comparison.
Flyinfool Posted September 1, 2014 #46 Posted September 1, 2014 Nope gotta keep the ones I have. I do need to eventually add an MKII to my stable...for comparison. And then a 3rd gen next year??????
CMCOFFEY Posted September 1, 2014 Author #47 Posted September 1, 2014 True. The 3rd gen will come much later when they are affordable.
videoarizona Posted September 1, 2014 #48 Posted September 1, 2014 (edited) They are truly 2 different bikes. Glad you made the ride back safely! Edited September 1, 2014 by videoarizona Added thought
VentureFar Posted October 8, 2014 #49 Posted October 8, 2014 Wow I ought to lay low more often, the thread reads as a book. Kind of like a TV binge of 3 seasons of Friends.... Chris - congrats on the new bike. Enjoy the new toy. VentureFar...
