88 or 89 Venture Royale??

Is there a difference between the marker lights on the 88 model and the 89? The lights I'm talking about are the set of 10(ten) that are located on the rear, just below the license plate and stop light. Six are on the back, with a set of 2 located at the bottom of the rear of the saddlebags. I think that I've been looking at my ride as a 89 when it may be a 88? I'm looking for the chrome piece w/the lights, mine is cracked. Thanks.

What you're describing sounds like an accessory or aftermarket part.

There is no difference between the 1988 and 1989 maroon Venture Royales. None.

Any lighting besides the tail/brake light and the amber turn signals built into the saddlebags are added accessories.

Yep, those are the ones. Just the lower ones though, I'd like to find that whole setup.

I am a firm believer in getting noticed by other drivers. Get as many lights as you can (and still look good, of course).

I have a lower light bumper looks like the one pictured, with no cracks just the lenses are faded. I am looking to get rid of. I bought it off ebay a couple years ago but didn't like it on the bike.
