tufftom4 Posted August 24, 2014 Share #1 Posted August 24, 2014 For as long as I have had my Kawasaki Voyager it has had a front end wobble I changed front bearings and tires and steering head bearings and put in Progressive springs but there was always a wobble even with a super brace. so today I decided to adjust my handle bars I have them laid back for long rides so I set them up so I am more over the tank and HOLY CRAP the handling is awesome and no wobble I will give up the laid back position for the handling any day. Barrycuda Posted August 24, 2014 Share #2 Posted August 24, 2014 I was thinking about you recently, Tom. The shop over by me has the voyager XII for sale. So naturally I thought of you. Since your bike doesn't wobble anymore, maybe you wanna mosey on down this way??
MikeWa Posted August 24, 2014 Share #3 Posted August 24, 2014 (edited) There was a u-tube video posted some time ago of testing done to try to find ways to stop tank slappers. They discovered that to stop a wobble, even a severe one, lay foreword on the tank. Your post seems to support some of that. Although I am in no hurry to test the theory. Wish I could find that video. Mike Found it. Edited August 24, 2014 by MikeWa
