plainmd Posted March 16, 2008 #1 Posted March 16, 2008 I know in the past I have read several posts where people have lost the push to talk cb button on their 2nd generations bikes.....My dealer got me one for my bike under warrenty......I know in the past they were changing the whole unit for a button...Here are the part numbers 4xy-88157-00 for the passenger cb push to talk button 4xy-88137-00 for the passenger volume control knob I was going to post this in the 2nd generation tech library but wouldnt let me for some reason.
Eck Posted March 16, 2008 #2 Posted March 16, 2008 Thanks, Got the part numbers saved for that JUST IN CASE syndrome.....
Wizard765 Posted March 16, 2008 #3 Posted March 16, 2008 What does this button look like? (pictures?) Can it be retrofitted to the first gen? How much did it cost? Inquiring minds want to know...
Guest Highway Posted March 17, 2008 #4 Posted March 17, 2008 I have lost two of the push to talk buttons on my o6 venture. The first time they replaced the button, lost it... The second time they replaced the whole unit ( about $600.00) All is warranty. I think I hit them with my foot when I swing my leg over the seat. Too old and short legged to put it straight across the front:322:
Double D Posted March 17, 2008 #5 Posted March 17, 2008 I lost the passenger PTT last summer and the dealer could not find the part number for just the button so they replace the whole unit. Thank God it was under warranty---$600 for a button.
