icebrrg3rd Posted August 18, 2014 #26 Posted August 18, 2014 Does your wife have a diamond engagement ring, and did she hand-wash the glass at one point w/o removing said ring? One full swipe around and you've just scribed a break line, and a simple shock would have caused it to cleanly break. Just my -Andrew Probably was aliens anyways...

Mike G in SC Posted August 19, 2014 #28 Posted August 19, 2014 (edited) My sister-in-law, rest her soul, had similar to several glasses. They had rings around the inside,,, but did not fall apart. BECAUSE,,,, she washed dishes with her diamond ring on. Any chance of that? Oh,,,, sorry, I just saw Iceburrg said same. Okay, I second the diamond cut. You may have to consider either divorce or a electric dishwasher to get past this. The dishwasher is cheaper. Edited August 19, 2014 by Mike G in SC
uncledj Posted August 19, 2014 Author #29 Posted August 19, 2014 A great hypothesis to be sure, but the wife just sticks everything in the dishwasher, and it's not that often that I see her wearing the ring anyway. My sister-in-law, rest her soul, had similar to several glasses.
