bmiller Posted August 17, 2014 #1 Posted August 17, 2014 On the way home from Guntersville I noticed the turn signals were not lighting up on the dash. Stopped and checked and all was fine, grrrr gremlins..... Well they stopped working on the dash again, checking this time reveals the turn lights are not working at all. I have checked the fuse box under the left side panel cover, all is ok and looked for threads in the Tech talk. Any suggestions or directions to a thread on where to check next would be appreciated.
Stealthblade Posted August 17, 2014 #2 Posted August 17, 2014 I have noticed on my 2001 that anytime I lose the signals, cycling the hazards on and off fixes it.
bmiller Posted August 17, 2014 Author #3 Posted August 17, 2014 Thanks for the suggestion Bob, No luck with this one. I should have mentioned I checked the bulbs are all are ok as well.
etcswjoe Posted August 17, 2014 #4 Posted August 17, 2014 Look at the switch and the signal relay connections.
cowpuc Posted August 17, 2014 #5 Posted August 17, 2014 Run a test wire between the engine and the grounding system for that circuit and see if its grounding properly..
sarges46 Posted August 17, 2014 #6 Posted August 17, 2014 If you have passing lights there is probably a bare wire touching the metal right were the wires make a turn coming down fRom the light too the bar itself. That was the problem with mine twice.
bmiller Posted August 18, 2014 Author #7 Posted August 18, 2014 I think Sarges46 nailed it. There are bare wires where it makes the bend. Thanks for the suggestions everyone!!
