Thanks for responding. Steve I purchased one of your P&P for a trailer I should have been more descript. I am looking for LEDs for the side of my saddle bags. To be seen better from the side.

I used 3 red LED strip lights that can be purchased at most auto parts stores and mounted them on the lower portion of the trunk. 4" ones for the sides and a 12" one on the back. They're very bright and can be seen even in daylight. Also a pair of 4" yellow LED's mounted vertically on the lower cowlings next to the crash bars. I also had converted the front reflectors to LED lights too.

Been thinking of mounting them on mine as well so will be following this thread.

On another thought, I saw LED's mounted in the fairing as blinkers on a bike for sale on CL. Anyone know how you'd go about this.

On that fairing I'd think you'll have to drill a small hole thru bout the chrome eyebrow and fairing itself for the wires. The lights themselves are self stickon types. On my trike I just run the wiring under the trunk since it was hidden pretty good. Same for the yellow LED's up front.

You weren't to far off. Got this email from his late last night.

"I had them machined out of 6061 aluminum then bought led lights from customdynamics.com"

If you go for that look I have some set ups for connecting the electricals inside the fairing so you do not have to cut any wires, just unplug the factory wiring and plug in my adapters. Here are some links to my ad on the classified section.

Will definitely be looking you up when I get ready. I've got your rear tail light bar and am very impressed.

I like the eyebrow idea. but all the light strips I have seen have black background so far and that would stick out like a sore thumb. So the other option would be to drill out each and every hole and insert the lights from behind, run the wires into the fairing and reattach the eyebrow.

My alternative plan is to get the strip lights and add them down by the bottom of the fairing by where the clear lower piece comes off. So would a guy get in trouble for running white like a daylight running light?? I know its supposed to be yellows at front.

I did mount up some strip LED on the bottom of the bags so they work as run/turn signals. Used a piece of plumbers strap I had, painted it and attached to longer bolts through the bag mounts.

That's why when I put my led strip lights on I put them on the black portion of the lowers and trunk. But even if one has a light colored bike I don't think the black background of the strips would be that noticeable except maybe on the front fairing. Mine were wired to be on whenever the key was on so the lights themselves sort of blocked out the black background.
