Broncoboy36081 Posted August 14, 2014 #1 Posted August 14, 2014 Just curious, who has the most miles on their second gen venture and what major malfunctions if any have you experienced during your miles.
Venturous Posted August 14, 2014 #2 Posted August 14, 2014 I know this wont be most... but I've put 111000 miles on my 2002. Major issues have been two failed OEM shocks and a stator.

Venturous Posted August 14, 2014 #4 Posted August 14, 2014 Neither really..but I am sure there are many with more miles. Which I guess is good since that means I can expect many more years of service from this bike.
Bones158 Posted August 14, 2014 #5 Posted August 14, 2014 63,000 on my 05 midnight. Triked by Hannigan at 60,000. Only problems were rear shock and ignition switch which both were replaced during the warranty period.
mabeline Posted August 14, 2014 #6 Posted August 14, 2014 90000 kms or 55000 miles Went for a ride last night, and she died on me about a 1/2 hr into the ride. Fired right up after a minute or so. I think its fuel pump time?? Other then that no problems, its been a good bike.
Mike G in SC Posted August 14, 2014 #7 Posted August 14, 2014 About 65k miles on my 09 RSV. (two up and trip traveler) About 99k miles on my 06 RSTD. (my daily commute bike) Both running fine. But yeah, warranty stuff was shocks and fuel pumps on both. Also on RSTD, stator and R/R and ignition switch. Neck bearing on RSTD not warranted.
Rick Haywood Posted August 14, 2014 #8 Posted August 14, 2014 121,377 miles major problems not really anything major Ignition switch Clutch spring Rectifier regulator That is all. By the way still running great:thumbsup2:
RedRider Posted August 14, 2014 #9 Posted August 14, 2014 Just rolled 125,000 miles last week on my 2000. Let's see, major problems ...... OEM shock went out at about 110,000 miles (I was living on borrowed time). Replaced with a Hagon. Bearing went out in the final drive. Replaced with a take off from someone triking their Venture (CarbonOne IIRC). Couple of clutches/springs. That's about it. It has been pretty bulletproof. Now, for a longer list, ask about the farkles and mods done. RR

Whole radio unit under warranty at 60K (mechanic doing fuel pump broke it oops) Neck bearings and swing arm bearings at 90K Key switch, pickup coil and side stand relay (SCCR) at 124,135 miles (replaced the starter relay 'just because'.. NOW the bike has run so much better than ever before.. woot!
