buddy Posted August 10, 2014 #1 Posted August 10, 2014 We have the MP3 set up but Peg wants a CD changer I can get one new sorta it's 2007 model Clarion CD changer for around 200.00 still in the box. Gonna mount in trunk area so what comes in the box As for accessory ? Anybody Remeber this far back lol
Sylvester Posted August 10, 2014 #2 Posted August 10, 2014 All I remember is the complaints due to skipping.
camos Posted August 10, 2014 #3 Posted August 10, 2014 Sorry I can't help with the CD changer but I feel the need to ask why Peg wants one. It's not difficult to export the songs from the CD to MP3 format. There are no skipping or storage issues and if anything happens to the player the music will not be forever lost. I don't know about other MP3 players but my iPod organizes the music so the songs can be grouped together as if they were on the original CD. There are a lot of different ways the music can be organized and played. Not trying to put you or Peg on the spot here, just wondering.
buddy Posted August 10, 2014 Author #4 Posted August 10, 2014 (edited) Home computer crashed some time back laptop doesn't handle DVD/CD our work computers not allowed due to security reasons so it's kinda hard download cd to MP3 player Theres been several times We bought CDs out on trips and could not listen to them Edited August 10, 2014 by buddy
camos Posted August 10, 2014 #6 Posted August 10, 2014 There is no way to get around the instant gratification of buying a CD on the road and being able to play it. However, is it worth $200 for that option? For $40 you can get a external CD/DVD writer with a USB connection for your laptop. Glad you found what you were looking for though.

MikeWa Posted August 11, 2014 #9 Posted August 11, 2014 (edited) Buddy We also like having the CD changer on board. Bump skips are not bad on good roads. When installing your changer make sure you use dielectric grease on the terminals. I had my unit mounted in the trunk on my last bike and it worked very well. If you mount it with minimal air space between the changer and the back you can still have room for a pair of full face helmets. Run your cable from the trunk foreword to the fairing so any extra cable can be coiled under the fairing out of sight and out of harms way. On my current bike I am planning on mounting it in the saddlebag with Velcro. Mostly because the cable already runs there and I am to lazy to rip it out, get a longer cable and pull the fairing, gas tank, and seats to put in a new one. Best of Luck Mike Edited August 11, 2014 by MikeWa
