CaptainJoe Posted August 9, 2014 #1 Posted August 9, 2014 Anyone here have one? http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/nolan-n44-tech-helmet?utm_source=nextag&utm_medium=cse&utm_campaign=sc&scpid=9&scid=scsho4659480
CaptainJoe Posted August 10, 2014 Author #3 Posted August 10, 2014 cool looking. let us know if you go with it. Mainly want it for the cooling, the removable chin guard and the chin blouse for noise reduction. Worries me that I have yet to find a price for a face shield for it...
buddy Posted August 10, 2014 #4 Posted August 10, 2014 This is what we have so far so good ! Much better than my worn out cyber lol and the price was right for us !! We have the titanium color to match flames on Midnight also comes with accessories pretty cool set
ricksbike Posted August 10, 2014 #5 Posted August 10, 2014 I tried one on 2 years ago, didn`t like the fit and it had to many parts to make it practical for me,mainly because I ride all year round except for ice and snow on the roads,I bought an N104 and really like it most of the time, except when it`s a hundred degrees out,I can ride with it open or closed,it even can be locked open.
djh3 Posted August 10, 2014 #6 Posted August 10, 2014 Is this the same helmet? For almost $40 less? Faceshield here.
BigLenny Posted August 10, 2014 #7 Posted August 10, 2014 Captain, My wife and I have the N43 which is the predecessor to the N44. We've had them about a year now and love them. Airflow is good and the removable chin guard is very cool. I leave mine attached all of the time, but my wife removes here occasionally during slow riding. Oh, another thing we really like is the field of vision on these helmets are WAY more than a full face or modular. I say buy it. You'll like it.
CaptainJoe Posted August 10, 2014 Author #8 Posted August 10, 2014 Is this the same helmet? For almost $40 less? Faceshield here. Pretty much, except for being a solid color... which isn't a deal killer. Was looking at the two tone white. The face shields aren't too bad My Arai face shields are more than that. Thanks!

The N44 has upgraded the way the face shield detaches(easier), increase airflow, installed an air deflector to eliminate the wind noise from around the bottom of the helmet and two settings for the shades. (smaller Bluetoothport)? Otherwise its basically the same helmet... That's exactly what I wanted to hear... Thanks, joe
djh3 Posted August 10, 2014 #10 Posted August 10, 2014 (edited) Joe if you use the link it will take you to the site. They have a drop down to select the color and size. Or use the search window on thier site and it will come up. I like the screamin yellow one. http://www.jafrum.com/Shop-By-Brand/Nolan-N44-N-COM-Helmets/Nolan-N44-Hi-Visibility-Helmet# Edited August 10, 2014 by djh3
Condor Posted August 10, 2014 #11 Posted August 10, 2014 I've been a Nolan guy forever, but that one is too 'spacey' for me. I've worked my way up the line starting with an N100 to now using a 103. One of these days when they start getting affordable I'll give a 104 a try, but until then I'll stick with what I have. MOF I'm about ready to round file my black 102 'cause it's getting a little 'old and seedy'.... Bought it brand new and have plumb wore it out.

Now that you listed all of the upgrades, I'm gonna hafta take a gander at upgrading to the 44. LOL!
Skid Posted August 11, 2014 #15 Posted August 11, 2014 I had a full face Nolan 20+ years ago. Good looking helmet but just not sure I could go back to a full face. I been looking hard at the Pit Boss recently.

CaptainJoe Posted August 11, 2014 Author #18 Posted August 11, 2014 This is what we have so far so good ! Much better than my worn out cyber lol and the price was right for us !! We have the titanium color to match flames on Midnight also comes with accessories pretty cool set GM67, That would make for a good cold weather helmet, keeping your breath off the inside of the visor. The problem I'm having is the top of my head I getting hot... er... well... hotter than normal...LOL
CaptainJoe Posted August 11, 2014 Author #19 Posted August 11, 2014 Heading south rain or shine I' gonna try to be there Friday, ENJOY!
bongobobny Posted August 11, 2014 #20 Posted August 11, 2014 We both have silver N102's and love them! Had HJC before that and thought the Nolan's were waaaay better!!!
BigLenny Posted August 11, 2014 #21 Posted August 11, 2014 I just got finished watching the review of the N44 on Revzilla. That is a substantial improvement over the N43 that we have as it pertains to airflow. Also, they have made the shape of it better so it will fit more of the head sizes here in the states. One thing that I forgot to mention in my previous post is; you're gonna really enjoy the pin lock shield. It was so nice not having to worry about my face shield fogging up during cold weather.
CaptainJoe Posted August 12, 2014 Author #22 Posted August 12, 2014 Thanks for all he replies... Gonna pull the trigger on one if I can find a place between here and Ashville to try one on..
XV1100SE Posted August 12, 2014 #23 Posted August 12, 2014 Reading that the N-Com can connect to Goldwing/BMW K1200LT/HD Ultra Classic built in audio systems. Can one of them be used with the RSV ? I currently use J&M headsets in both helmets. Nancy would like a flip-up helmet but I'd want to be able to connect it to the RSV.
