CaptainJoe Posted August 6, 2014 Author #4 Posted August 6, 2014 looking forward to checking the place out and camping for the weekend Sounds good Dave. I have a camper and his wife from Florida that are thinking about staying for the weekend to join in. He's riding a beautiful purple Vulkan...
Jayceesfolly Posted August 8, 2014 #5 Posted August 8, 2014 Joe: I assume the "Bridge weekend" is for the River Gorge jumping gala. If so, that is the weekend of the 18th of Oct, I think. I plan on traveling to your campground that weekend. Should be a nice traveling weekend to see the Fall colors. PS: It was good to see you again at the IR in AL. See you on the 18th! Jim
IronMike Posted August 8, 2014 #6 Posted August 8, 2014 Im trying to find some Billy Goat Steep loose gravels roads in that area I can take yall down, If I find something real good I might show up.

IronMike Posted August 9, 2014 #9 Posted August 9, 2014 Looks like the MARZINE was the only Force in Readiness on this one! At 8PM Friday I had been awake 15 hours and work called with a Local load, Meaning I would be back. I wasn't even home. But I sprang into action. I was on my Roadstar so i zipped home. And hooked up the Camper, figuring I could leave from work. In 30 minutes I had packed, and wired the trailer lights to the bike from scratch. I zoomed off to work another 16 hours Awake and then I was going to ride down, 4 hours, take the trailer on the Triple Nickle OH 555 and drop into WV . Thanks to Capt Joe for answering me back that no one else Could make it. I am only getting about 130 a tank pulling the camper. Blugh. So I didn't want to go unless we had some people there. But I had it all set to happen! http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d139/usmcxterra/Venture%202008/20140808_231001_zpse6rjtd7m.jpg My bike at work in the parking lot Camper in tow. The MArines are always ready to go!
Yammer Dan Posted August 9, 2014 #10 Posted August 9, 2014 I was watching to see if anybody was there. Guess I'll work on the boat...
CaptainJoe Posted August 9, 2014 Author #11 Posted August 9, 2014 I was watching to see if anybody was there. Guess I'll work on the boat... No worries... Dave and Robin were the only ones originally set to come down this weekend but after talking a couple days ago we decided to put it out there in case someone else wanted to ride this weekend. He pm'd me yesterday that he was down with a bad back and was trying to get it better before the Asheville rally... Had some campers here on a Vulcan from Florida so I took them on the grand tour via backroads to Reedy, Spencer, Cisco and North Bend State Park. In fact we just got back... Hey, It's all Good!
IronMike Posted August 9, 2014 #12 Posted August 9, 2014 I have a complete restoration of a CRESTLINER going on myself.
CaptainJoe Posted August 9, 2014 Author #13 Posted August 9, 2014 I have a complete restoration of a CRESTLINER going on myself. Try to "make" myself take at least two nice rides a week. Besides, I know If I don't, I will be working...
Yammer Dan Posted August 9, 2014 #14 Posted August 9, 2014 Yeah I was thinking of riding over but warden not doing great. Mine is only a 12 ft rowboat Mike. About 50 yrs old. Redoing all the wood trim and the seats. Old flat bottom boat handles better than anything I ever tried to paddle around.
