what sort of performance from a 96 royal star ?

what can i expect top speed 1/4 times have bean oferd a trade for my 83 first gen

the 96 has 70,000 ml on it but has bean well looked after are there ishuws with theas bikes i should look for ? all help graetley appreciated

A 96 Royal Star is going to feel like a slug after having that 83 First Gen.

Only about 79 horsepower at the crank, not sure what you have at the rear wheel, but less than 79 for sure and they are heavy bikes to boot.

I love the original Royals, had a 98 Tour Classic for 9 years and put 96,000 miles on her, she is still going , I see her around town every now and then, she ran strong, but was no speed demon for sure.

Comfortable ride, could do 400 to 600 miles in a day no problem.

only reason im contemplating it is i allso have a vmax in the shed lol so speeds taken care of as long as the 96 will crack the tone ill be happy
