ReinyRooster Posted August 4, 2014 #1 Posted August 4, 2014 This extra brake light was mounted on the trunk lid when I bought the bike. I believe it was working at the time but can't say for sure. Also can't remember where/how it was wired when I undid it to install my new rear light bar ( Ya I know....serious case of CRS). Now I want to get this light working again since it's there anyway, but can't figure out the wiring....it has a black wire, a white wire and a ground wire. Have included a pic in case that helps someone to identify it and maybe I can get wiring instructions from the manufacture or distributor. Thanks.
M61A1MECH Posted August 5, 2014 #2 Posted August 5, 2014 If you know for sure which wire is the ground, all you need to do to check the wiring is, ground that wire and take each of the others to a hot wire to see if it works, the brighter of the two will be your brake circuit the other is your running or tail light circuit. On the bike the tail light circuit is a blue wire, the brake circuit is a yellow wire. Hope that helps just a little bit.
ReinyRooster Posted August 5, 2014 Author #3 Posted August 5, 2014 OK Steve, will give that a try one of these evenings. Thanks,
djh3 Posted August 5, 2014 #4 Posted August 5, 2014 I know someone who can make you a plug that plug right into the harness, no fuss no muss.
