I know you carry a large burden this day in the loss of a dear freind.

We all carry that burden with you..and with Marks family.

As I said before, You are the real meaning of a true friend...

It's time for you to rest too now.....Thanks for everything you have done.

I'm really sorry to hear the news. Though we knew he was not doing well, it does not make it any easier. Mark was a wonderful asset to our group and was truly an inspiration to all who knew him. Our prayers go out to Nancy, friends and family.

It is hard to know what to say in a time like this. I also met the "Dog" at Vogel and was impressed. I couldn't find the "Mean" part.

Reflecting on the loss of a loved one once, this came to my mind and I found it reassuring. I have given it to others that, I hope, have found some comfort in it.

Although Mark has passed beyond the veil that separates us from ancestors, known and unknown, he lives within our hearts, minds and souls. All the lives he touched have known a greater joy than otherwise would have been.

Death brings sorrow and pain to the living, but we must remember the ship sailing away over the horizon and those left on the pier saying “Alas, he is gone”; while on the distant shore others are saying “Look, on the horizon, here he comes!” This, then, is the joy of reunion: Man with God.

Mark is beyond our physical touch yet lives in the very core of our souls.

You are all in my thoughts and prayers,

Todd

Ride on, MeanDog!

God looked around his Garden and found an empty place.

He then looked down upon his earth and saw your loving face.

He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest.

His Garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best.

He knew that you were suffering, he knew you were in pain.

And knew that you would never get well on earth again.

He saw your path was difficult, he closed your tired eyes,

He whispered to you "Peace be Thine" and gave you wings to fly.

When we saw you sleeping so calm and free of pain,

We would not wish you back to earth to suffer once again.

You've left us precious memories, your love will be our guide,

You live on through your children, you're always by our side.

It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone.

For part of us went with you on the day God called you home.

Ron and I were certainly sorry to hear the news. We will pray for Mean Dog's family. We are glad he is not having to suffer from his illness any longer.

May the Lord look over his family and grant them peace.

"Fly High" Mark!

I first had the honor of meeting Mark at last years Vogel. Knowing what he was going through with his health at that time, I was amazed that this man had ridden so far to meet with fellow VentureRiders. I got to know Mark just a little bit at Vogel, the next time I saw Mark was when we made our ride to St. Judes to present the donation from Vogel to the Hospital. I have had the honor to ride with Mark twice and feel I am a better person for it, Mark showed me what true love of thy neighbor is all about.

Charlene and I are deeply saddened by this loss, and will keep all of his family in our prayers and thoughts, and Kenny, thank you for doing what you did for Mark, and for us by keeping us informed, you too are a special person.

Some of my memories with Mark.

Nancy, Angel and I have you and the family in our prayers. I knew when we meet you and Mark on the ride to little sturgis that you were special people. I'm going to miss him.

Amazing the reflections that life affords us, hopefully to carry us onward to be better people. As much as I wanted a miracle to happen, there were others that had different plans.

I feel very fortunate to have been able to spend time with Mark and Nancy. Those memories are some of the best that I have, I'm just upset that I have to wait to see my brother again. But rest assured, the 1st thing that I will want when I am able to embrace you again my friend....is the ride that we never got to have on this planet.

Mark and Nancy....Lonna and I love you, that will never change

Kbran....we love you too my friend, God will smile upon you for being as good a friend to Mark as you have been.
