they do have paint a way bit pricey!!!

Pretty sure that's the only place to get the paint, at least it's the only place I have heard of in the past 8 years.

If you have a PPG paint dealer in your area you can take the bike or a piece of it to them and they can take a reading off it and match the paint #'s and color.

Thats how I got the 2006 Black cherry color.

Still good paint is not cheap.

Steve - what's a PPG?

I was ready to order a qt for like $178 + shipping then color rite recommends clear coat so that another $70 bucks or so + ship.

Not sure how much I need. Maybe someone can give advice?

I am refurbishing an 07 with 1400 mi that had a mishap by another driver - not me.

I will be attempting to paint the plastic ABS

upper front fairing,

both leg cowlings,

one saddle bag,

rear box & lid, and

rear armrest/speaker.

Bike was blue/black. It will be all black when I am done.

I am taking file photos as I tear it apart so I can see how to put humpty dumpty back together again! I will also have after pics. I can put many of them here for others to see if they need to know what is behind door A or door B etc after my project is complete.

ppg is a brand name you would be better off going to a local paint store to buy the paint. black is black any black will do. 1 quart will be enough. If you don't have a local paint store most napa stores are martin senior paint dealers.

Nappa or any good auto paint store that has the color gun should match the paint. All the past colors on the ventures are old Auto colors. the Black Cherry for the 06 turns out to be 1967 Wineberry Chysler paint.

They don't invent a new color just pick old colors and rename them.

I agree with Redneck I would go to a nappa store and look thur there paint chip book and pick a black or color you like.

black is black any black will do.

like all RSV colors, there is the "speckle" in the black paint - other wise I could get a can of black at walmart
