cowpuc Posted July 24, 2014 #3 Posted July 24, 2014 (edited) Well,, lets see here,, sorry Eck ya caught me sleepin... First off, I was SHOCKED at the amount of International riders I saw and met.. I gotta say, the Canucks came out in full force, were VERY polite people and represented their country with honor, dignity and wholesome fun.. I am a little absent minded (cant remember 1 rally from another) and I am terrible with names so if they would kindly chime in and identify themselves in the pics below it would be appreciated.. The U.S. of A. was also well represented with all the people I met being just as friendly, polite and thoughtful as the Canucks were.. One guy in particular, noticed someones bike needing a horn and he jumped right in and did the install right in the middle of the Rally!! His actions were supported and supervised by a group of very knowledgeable and VERY serious minded folks.. The caterers of the food did a superb job, the main cook thereof - a funny guy with a love for grilling, was an outstanding chef who should receive some kind of an award for his cooking abilities.. I believe I have pics of him too.. It rained just enough to make us draw closer as a group and it (the rain) actually helped us stay in group discussions - always fun!! My only complaint about the Rally was it went by way to fast.. Ok, I also have another complaint.. The directions for the Rally werent exactly clear,,, we were suppose to turn on M-5 West.. When we got to the spot this intersection was suppose to be located we found M-5 North and M-5 East but no M-5 West... We spent about 45 minutes in the dark figuring that out,, I feel like that 45 minutes could have been better spent harrassing or being harrassed by some of the folks at the International Rally.. Thankfully, my internal calendar and clock, dynamic sense of direction coupled with a "feel" for the presents of other VR members saved the day... I KNOW I see LoneEagle in one of those pictures and I suspect that picture had to be at a VentureWest Rally.. Aint no mistaken that LoneEagle!!!

Sure looks like LoneEagle to me BUT,, I could be eatin crow again too,,, its ok if so - I am getting to really like crow!!

I was thinking it was already in motion and I'm missing it... My son and his wife are here now, and I was thinking of trying to get down there for a day, (and still might) depending on if they go off to see a few friends.. I have lost all time and days since they have been here..... now where did I set my beer.. Thanks for the pictures of past IR's though.. I really needed that.......ha Edited July 24, 2014 by Eck
