RoyalRider05 Posted July 21, 2014 #1 Posted July 21, 2014 Hey all! I have released the bleeder valve and got all the old fluid out. However, after reading and following all the other posts I am having an issues getting pressure back in the line. The lever feels like mush(clutch not disengaging). Is this air? or am i missing something here? I did not use a vacuum. Should i go get a pump and try it this way? Thanks!
Little Bob Posted July 21, 2014 #2 Posted July 21, 2014 :cool10:Keep pumping the handle. It took me ten minutes but it will come back.
RoyalRider05 Posted July 21, 2014 Author #3 Posted July 21, 2014 Good lord! Ok ill keep pumping it. i took out the bleed screw just in case and let it gravity feed the air out. I dont see any bubbles left. It was fine before i did it. Ill post back up. Thank you!
dvuch1 Posted July 21, 2014 #4 Posted July 21, 2014 Air is almost always the culprit despite getting fluid. Microbubbles that require a bit of time and patience. I use a suction pump on the bleeder. It eliminates the PUMPING and annoyance . .Harbor freight $20. Open bleeder.Use a cable tie on brake/clutch lever.....to keep it open....Apply suction ....keep reservoir full as you suction several batches through.....close bleeder..cut cable tie...should work..
RoyalRider05 Posted July 22, 2014 Author #5 Posted July 22, 2014 Thanks yall! I was able to get all the bubbles out. It does take 10-12 minutes worth of pumping. Fluid is clean and good to go!
