ENG2242 Posted July 21, 2014 #1 Posted July 21, 2014 After reading many posts relative to leveling links, I have two questions: Does it affect the way you are positioned/sitting on the bike while riding? Hence, are you leaning forward or more vertical? I prefer the lean back, feet on the highway pegs position. Other than Diamond, does anyone else fabricate these, if so who? Thank-you David
ACE50 Posted July 21, 2014 #2 Posted July 21, 2014 Only difference I noticed was more ground clearance in corners.

Thank-you David Lean back all you want. You'll only be raising the back of the bike an inch or so. Shouldn't even notice the difference except for the low speed steering improvement...
eusa1 Posted July 21, 2014 #4 Posted July 21, 2014 you wont feel it in the seat, only the items listed above by others, ground clearance and any speed handling and leg length to touch the ground. several members have made their own. Pattie at www.diamondraccessories is a sweetie to talk and deal with to purchase a set.
darthandy Posted July 22, 2014 #5 Posted July 22, 2014 Roll your bike onto a one inch thick board and you'll see how it feels. I felt no real difference other than the improved handling of the bike. Andy
VentureFar Posted July 22, 2014 #6 Posted July 22, 2014 Me too! I tired of the heavy handling. I sit on my tailbone. You will only notice lighter steering and if you go to a 130 front tire from the stock 150 it will get even lighter but you give up lateral stability in high crosswinds - that means in high crosswinds you will have to have both hands on the bars instead of just one. And, I have noticed - but it could just be me that riding hands off seemed to track straighter instead of sort of moving around but who is supposed to be riding hands off anyway....... By the way, they are easy to replace- I agonized over the job until I actually got down on the ground and looked at the bolts. I did mine alone in 20 min and did Beastwood's in 35. Remember that old saying we charge $10 per hour and if you help we charge $15.... just kidding, Beastwood and I spend more time talking than doing. I will be happy to walk you through it on the phone, my number is on the member page. VentureFar...
