CMCOFFEY Posted July 17, 2014 #1 Posted July 17, 2014 I would very much appreciate it everybody who owns and 84 venture would check their VIN sticker by the brake pedal and let me know if you have a 2/84. I have been searching for one for a while. I have found multiple 1/84 and a few 3/84. I just want to know that Yamaha did in fact make the Venture in February. I don't want to spend the next few years looking for a unicorn. Don't worry I will not hound you to sell it to me if you post on here. I will offer you fair market price if you ever want to sell it. Thanks in advance to all who look.
Prairiehammer Posted July 17, 2014 #2 Posted July 17, 2014 "Unicorn!" THAT'S funny, I don't care what you believe in. If you ever hear from anyone and they provide you their VIN, let me know what it is, so I can enter the VIN into my (our) database.

CMCOFFEY Posted July 18, 2014 Author #8 Posted July 18, 2014 http://cincinnati.craigslist.org/mcy/4572374912.html This guy is not even willing to go check to see if his bike is a 2/84. he only wants to deal with local people. I could understand if I was wanting to paypal him and have him ship the bike, but I am offering to fly into Michigan, drive down to ohio and pay him cash in person. he just texted me. he is coming around now. he is going to go check. it took a lot of convincing. I don't understand why some people are so rude. I ask a simple question about a bike and they ask me why does it matter. I let them know and some are cool with it, some are down right rude. In this case I am the customer, I want what I want, and I am willing to wait for it.
Snaggletooth Posted July 18, 2014 #9 Posted July 18, 2014 Mine is titled as an '84. I think I even researched the vin years ago and came back as an '84. I just looked at the frame sticker and its stamped as 11/83.
Trader Posted July 19, 2014 #10 Posted July 19, 2014 I've got blonde 84 I bought I was going to strip for parts. I know it has 2nd gear issue. So far just some plastic and carbs are off. what would be the code for Feb 84?
