Guest wrench Posted March 16, 2008 #26 Posted March 16, 2008 Congratulations,,, nothin' like that "new bike" feeling no matter how cold. I had the same concerns about the handling thing too. I went from a Suzuki Volusia, a 500 lb bike, to the Venture. I've had a few "tight spot" problems but most of them I caused myself by not keeping the weight difference in mind, plus when I got it 2 years ago my left hip was shot. Very few problems now as long as I remember that very few bikes back up on their own!
loneeagle44mag Posted March 16, 2008 #27 Posted March 16, 2008 Congradulations on the new scoot. I've had mine 1 1/2 riding seasons with about 17000 miles on it and I love the bike. You will probably figure this out but I'll mention. Very slow manueving forward with the handle bars all the way cranked. The bike gets tippy on me. I haven't ever dropped my 06 Midnight, but close. Just because of this. I've learned now to not crank it all the way off going forward. Pushing backwards seems fine. Ride safe!
