Sunday, I finally got around to installing the chrome radiator cover that my kids got me for Father's Day. After removing the fairings and existing cover, I could tell that if I took out those 2 small bolts close to bottom on both sides of the radiator, it would take me approx 10 hours to get them back in there. Well, maybe not 10, but a pain regardless.

So, after some thinking, I decided to slot the holes on the cover. I slotted the top hole to the left side of the bike so it would not be visible while on kick stand and slotted the 2 small holes at the bottom straight back.

Installation was a breeze and it looks great. I soon plan to cut out some fine lightweight steel mesh, paint it flat black and contact cement it to the back of the cover for a little added protection to the radiator.

Interesting plan for install. 6 weeks ago I would

have loved seeing this. I did mine the hard way.

I used window screening behind mine, it is black nylon so will not rust, it looks good.

Yeah yeah, I know. I should have taken the pics, but was having too much fun with the cut-off tool and my wrenches.
