jneed53 Posted March 13, 2008 #1 Posted March 13, 2008 I have an iPod Nano that I currently velcroto the gas tank. Are there ant good mounts that limit vibration and allow one to see the display without looking away (too far) from all the excitement ahead?
stardbog Posted March 13, 2008 #2 Posted March 13, 2008 http://www.ram-mount.com/products/motorcycles.htm is best source for all kind of gadgets holders. parts list: 1- large aqua box 1- 1" dimond ball end 1- 3" arm 1- U clamp
bikerjohn Posted March 13, 2008 #3 Posted March 13, 2008 There was a thread that showed how to modify a ipod holder. Go to Wal-Mart buy the metal case and cut the back so you can put a c-clamp through it and mount it to the handlebar. Works great if I get a minute I will take a pic of mine tomorrow. Bikerjohn
RoadKill Posted March 13, 2008 #4 Posted March 13, 2008 Freebird showed me how to modify a large binder clip by cutting it in 1/2 at the top and then close it in the cassette door. You can then just velcro to the flat face protruding out and down at the cassette. I screwed on the XM radio mount and ran that way for quite a while until I picked up a specific XM mount from Cycle Gadgets. Sorry don't have any pictures, but Don still might.
KeithR Posted March 13, 2008 #5 Posted March 13, 2008 I just came across this mount on E Bay....not sure if its something you could use. http://cgi.ebay.com/Yamaha-Victory-Motorcycle-Mirror-Mount-GPS-SIRIUS-XM_W0QQitemZ360032073459QQihZ023QQcategoryZ84076QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Keith
ebat Posted April 6, 2008 #6 Posted April 6, 2008 I know this post is a few weeks old but I was wondering how to mount mine too. Had my RSV for a about a week and didn't want to wait for delivery of a ram mount order. I just went to WalMart and bought an arm band holder for my Nano. Cut down the strap a little and put it right near the audio controller. I'm able to just barely wedge one edge of the Nano under the controller and it is snug as can be. Haven't really looked to see if the display is visible, I just shuffle all the songs anyway. Works like a charm!
1sttenor Posted April 9, 2008 #7 Posted April 9, 2008 My ram mount for my GPS took two days to deliver. They're terrific!

Bikerjohn I think that my mount is the one you are refferring to. The link with pics is below. I have had it on there for about a year with no problems. When I take long rides, I put a black rubber band around it just for a little insurance. It works GREAT!!! Hope this helps. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=13469&highlight=ipod+mount
