Eck Posted July 10, 2014 Share #5 Posted July 10, 2014 \ Are you coming to Asheville this year ? At this time, I don't see it in my plans, but that could change... My son and his wife will be coming home in 10 days ( July 19th) and will be here until July 31st. I know for a fact I will be spending some $$$$$$$$ for I wont be seeing him again for another 5 to 7 years. I already have plans for a 7 to 9 day ride in Sept...that will be more $$$$$. Being my first year retired is nice, but it is also a learning time to stay in tune with a budget. In learning to do so, I find I can not participate in every rally / ride there is this summer... I also just spent a bunch on an in-ground storm shelter, glass doors on the house, a new water heater, wooden deck, and installed new gutters across front of house. I am getting ready to install gutters on back side of house while my son is here...$$$ If this spending keeps up, I'm going to have to go back to work.. stardbog Posted July 10, 2014 Author Share #14 Posted July 10, 2014 Last time was bunch of us staying at Super 8, and it was acceptable for that price. AC was working, fridge was god, ice cubes are free and hot water and water pressure was OK. what else we need. $59 / night at Super 8 Black Mountain https://www.google.com/hotels/?gl=US&cu_link=1&h=5991923369210755199#search;l=Black+Mountain,+North+Carolina;q=Black+Mountain+NC+motels;d=2014-08-12;n=5;usd=1;h=5991923369210755199;cuh=5991923369210755199;si=995fa38d;av=d $60 / night Motel 6 Asheville. https://www.google.com/hotels/?gl=US&cu_link=1&h=5991923369210755199#search;l=Black+Mountain,+North+Carolina;q=Black+Mountain+NC+motels;d=2014-08-12;n=5;usd=1;h=10692979449436643044;cuh=5991923369210755199;si=995fa38d;av=d Looks like Motel 6 is closer to KOA, but either one is good. There is other options but close to $ 100 and up. What ya guys think?

Hey a pool would be nice as long as it's not green. Might even have a few bikinis around it.
