Not sure how the memory on speedometer on the RSTD works, but I don't really understand what you are asking. So, you want to take a bike that has 2,068 miles on it and make it look like it has 48,000 miles on it? :confused24:

I picked up a wrecked RSTD with 3300km on it that needs a new speedometer ,a new speedometer is $1000.00 a used one with 46,000mi on it is only $200.00 . so I am asking if there is a way to change the odometer to match the bike ?????

Well, the memory for the odometer is in a module, so if the original speedometer's memory is still intact maybe you could transplant it into the new one. I'm not sure of where the chip is so check with a dealer's service department...

Not sure on these things, but cars years ago when they went to digital odometers the actual milage is stored on the ECM. What part of yours died? On another board a member is putting some kind of Dakota digital speedo in his RSV. So he has guts out of one. I'll let you know what he gets back to me.

Info from Tankerhank:

There is a circuit board behind the speedo display board, not sure if the ODO data is stored there or not, they do unplug from each other.
