What do you guys think? videoarizona Posted July 8, 2014 #2 Posted July 8, 2014 Is that the specific model battery for our 1st generation scoots? If so, that's expensive but probably worth it. Wonder how it would handle the Arizona heat??

Evan Posted July 8, 2014 #5 Posted July 8, 2014 May be totally off base here but when I checked out what I think was a similar type of battery and found that they can't take cold (freezing)weather. Think I started a thread about them sometime last fall.

The one I posted a link to was the most powerful and most expensive. I think they fit any bike because they are much smaller than the conventional battery. They come with spacers to fill up the box. Supposedly they are good down to 14 degrees F, which is good enough for the southern crowd. The weight savings normally would not matter but considering where the battery is located, that would be the place it might matter a tad by reducing some top heavy weight. I was wondering if anyone had tried one.

danburywildman Posted July 9, 2014 #10 Posted July 9, 2014 I've got a buddy that has one in phoenix and he said it lasts about 3 times longer than regular battery
speakerfritz Posted July 10, 2014 #11 Posted July 10, 2014 from personal experience....... they sometimes need a warmup load.....sometimes 2 start attempts are needed...first one wakes up the battery...second one starts the bike. they do not handle overcharging well
