mralex714 Posted July 8, 2014 #1 Posted July 8, 2014 I have had 2 right saddle bags have the bottoms just crumble and fall out. I just installed the second one a few months ago and it was in good shape. Just confused? BTW looking for a brown right saddle bag for an 86 VR.

Are you carrying a can of brake fluid in the bag that may be leaking a little or do you have a leak on your rear caliper? RandyA

djh3 Posted July 8, 2014 #4 Posted July 8, 2014 There ya go. Why are you carrying the brake fluid? If its a just in case thing, I would rethink my strategy. Parts stores are everywhere. Or you need to put it in a freezer bag, and then inside like a piece of tupperware or something. How big a hole you got in the bag now?
mralex714 Posted July 8, 2014 Author #5 Posted July 8, 2014 There ya go. Why are you carrying the brake fluid? If its a just in case thing, I would rethink my strategy? I bought it one day when the clutch was low and never took it out. When I put the new bag on I just moved everything.
utadventure Posted July 8, 2014 #6 Posted July 8, 2014 I have the bottom halves of both the right and left bags from a two tone brown '86. Just let me know if that's what you're looking for. Dave

utadventure Posted July 9, 2014 #8 Posted July 9, 2014 I'll get you some pics in the morning. I'm not sure what the costs should be. Make me a fair offer and cover postage, and it's yours. Do you have an email to send the pictures to? Dave

IronMike Posted July 15, 2014 #11 Posted July 15, 2014 GOT my $12 Worth! The rest of the year is FREE! Whooo!
mralex714 Posted July 15, 2014 Author #12 Posted July 15, 2014 I wouldn't know what a fair price would be. The last one I bought was part of parts lot.

Searching through the eBay listings reveals a W I D E range of prices for MKII saddlebags; from $25 to $155 for a single saddlebag. Some include lids (with chrome lid protector), some just the bottom. What color is your 1986?
