I need to know if my new bike, I'm picking up tomorrow will fit on my trailer with a fold up gate. Will someone please tell me the total length from front of front tire to the farthest point back? Assuming that will be the luggage trunk, Thank you very much David

If the trailer gate folds up to perfectly vertical, then from the front surface of the front tire to the back trim on the trunk you will need about 9 feet. This allows a few inches so that the bike movement during transport will not cause the trunk to contact the gate and get damaged.

The RSV will fit on a 5x8 utility trailer but NOT if the gate folds up to vertical. If you use a removable ramp, it will work. (barely)

U-Haul rents a 5x9 motorcycle/utility trailer that will fit the RSV. (barely) The U-Haul trailer is very heavy duty, so you will need a larger SUV or a pickup to haul it.

Specs say 105" end to end. Think Smart Car. They are about the same length. I like to have fun and park beside one when I see it in a lot.

I have a 5x10 trailer with a ramp gate, and the RSV fits on it very comfortably. Anything shorter and it get's iffy....

BTW I just put one of those Harbor Freight chocks that's a copy of the 'Condor' chock in steel instead of aluminum. It's the best thing since sliced bread. Ride it on and into the chock and get off. No having to hold it upright while fiddling with the tie downs.

Perfect thank-you, I have the same chock and modified an 8' trailer and mounted the chock 13" forward. My old Tourer fit with room to spare. I have 109" from the front of the chock to the rear floor cross member. !5" wheels and a solid and extra reinforcements. Thanks so much. David

Can't wait, picking it up today and riding to the lake.
