Mikealiasmike Posted July 5, 2014 #1 Posted July 5, 2014 Where is the fuse for the fuel pump? Thought I had bike all ready to go for a ride with my son and pump will not kick on. Had a problem a week or so ago and was left on side of the road. Towed home. Tore it all apart, pump worked then but now no. Disconnected pump line to carbs so I'm bypassing carbs completely just to see if it'll work. Anyone? Down to last hope on this trip
Mikealiasmike Posted July 5, 2014 Author #2 Posted July 5, 2014 Oh, and I checked the ground and cleaned the contacts. Is Ignition fuse the one that runs the pump?
Condor Posted July 5, 2014 #3 Posted July 5, 2014 Oh, and I checked the ground and cleaned the contacts. Is Ignition fuse the one that runs the pump? If the bowls are full the pump will not cycle. Generally the bike will run like cr@p if the pump is NFG. If the bike is running good go ahead and take the trip. Just take along a length of fuel line to by-pass the pump if it does go south....
Neil86 Posted July 5, 2014 #4 Posted July 5, 2014 Pretty sure its the ignition fuse.....the engine kill switch is in the RUN position?
