I had a reckless fairing on my 900 Kawasaki. Back when I did it no one had a bat wing for the 900 Vulcan. 4 months after I made the brackets and everything Memphis Shades came out with a bolt on kit. LOL go figure. Since then I have read a few posts on guys puting fairings on the TD, and they look good.

I think the reckless for my money was a good buy at the time. Part of your process needs to be do you want just a fairing to block wind? Or do you want to also have tunes? Do you want to try to mount up your own stereo stuff or let them do it?

I can tell you I put 3 what I would call "extreeme" type radios in it, and ended up with a little credit card sized unit that finally worked. First radio was a marine type Pyle cd with remote control. It jounced some little gizmo loose off the circuit board. I had to remove some of the heat sink off to get it to fit in the fairing, so no warrenty as I had modified it. Second radio was sony I think and was designated ATV use on box. It lasted about 150 miles. It went back to place I bought it. The little credit card job had aux input and out put for head phones and was about $25 off e-bay. I had 4.5" speakers in the fairing and above about 45-50 you couldnt hardly hear it, so I ran earbuds on road trips and still do on the RSV.

Several nice ones out there just sort of penz on what you budget. Mutazu Tsukayu is another that seem to make nice stuff. I think your probably money ahead if you just have them install a radio. :080402gudl_prv: Heres the reckless link.

Well being its posted in the Tour Deluxe side of the house I'm hoping he has one. For an RSV none. LOL On a bike with the windshield like they have you get a bit more wind and rai protection. Although I will say my Memphis Shades Phatt had very good coverage. Plus depending on which fairing you can get radio and some storage. Knowing what info I have now about intercom and radio on bike I would consider going back to the windshield, like on a Tour Deluxe of a Victory Cross Roads. Cruise is a must have.
