iSimple ipod control

Can anyone help me, I need to re- flash my iSimple controller. I tried updating myself thinking it would be better, but now it doesn't work no more. Tried calling iSimple but they say I need to call Yamaha support but also unable to get help there because I purchase it thru eBay. I need to re-flash it with the Yamaha software.

Hmm I didnt know the controller needed any kind of software so to speak. I thought it was only the I-pods I had heard about having problems with flashing. Call Yamaha and see what they say. I would say you bought the bike and unit used and now it conked out. What should you do? Or you can try to go the I-simple you need help and if you dont give it thats fine I'll let the thousands of members on the internet know not to buy your POS unsupported equipment.

is it a file that can be copies from a working isimple?

Typicaly I think it would be just like your phone or an update to your GPS. Plug it into the computer, log into whatever web site and download the update. I dont know as the actual i-simple adapter thing can be updated. I do not know for sure. But I would be interested in finding out if the OP got it fixed.
