Prairiehammer Posted June 24, 2014 #27 Posted June 24, 2014 (edited) Geeze! Best recollection of 1970's songs? The Seventies is when I got my first stereo and my first car (with 8 track) and my first REAL girlfriend and the beginning of my love for: Kansas Boston Bachman Turner Overdrive Steve Miller Band Chicago Eagles Foreigner Fleetwood Mac Santana Neil Diamond Gordon Lightfoot etc., etc. The memories. Especially the "summer of '72". Edited June 24, 2014 by Prairiehammer

I never much cared for them after Grace Slick joined the band.
Sailor Posted June 24, 2014 #34 Posted June 24, 2014 Sorry, I missed the 70's...and a lot of the 60's.

Karaboo Posted June 24, 2014 #36 Posted June 24, 2014 How about Alice Cooper. Or KISS (my first concert). Let's not forget Ted Nugent. Rush is one of my all time favorites, too.

BigLenny Posted June 24, 2014 #38 Posted June 24, 2014 Peter Frampton was pretty good. I wasn't really a fan of the real Heavy Metal screaming bands, but that list that Prairehammer did was some of the stuff that I liked. Thats whats cool about Rock and Roll. There are different levels of it. And, I'm grown man enough to say when Disco came along I liked it too. I even liked and still like listening to some good Funk Music. Boz Scaggs is another I liked. Heart was good. Pat Benetar was in the late 70's. Eric Clapton. Billy Squier. Aerosmith was great. Ambrosia. Bad Company. Eddie Money. Foghat - Slowride. Styx was great. Rod Stewart had some good mild stuff.
