midnightrider1300 Posted June 13, 2014 #1 Posted June 13, 2014 we got a 2014 Victory Cross tour in today' gosh I want that bike....it has 41 gallons of storages, sleek and sooooo pretty. and the seat height is the lowest in the touring class...needless to say I had to make sure it was on the opposite end of the building from me...I hope we sell it fast or I'll be trying to figure out how to put it in my budget...
bongobobny Posted June 13, 2014 #2 Posted June 13, 2014 There have been a few former Venture owners that have bought CCT's already so you are not alone...
djh3 Posted June 13, 2014 #3 Posted June 13, 2014 I have rode them the last three or so years on the dealer demo days. Man it hard to not by one. They ride great. If I worked at a dealer Well OH man would I be in trouble.
stickhandle2 Posted June 13, 2014 #4 Posted June 13, 2014 They are a great looking bike, and lots of storage. I won't look at them anymore for fear of actually buying one and then coming home and trying to explain the purchase to the boss. But we can dream.
XV1100SE Posted June 13, 2014 #5 Posted June 13, 2014 They are a great looking bike.... That's a matter of opinion, one I don't share. I don't like the angles (especially the saddle bags and trunk). Trunk looks like it was an after thought. The front fairing doesn't do it for me. And what is with the antenna mounted where it is and the angle? On spec...still doesn't match the RSV in areas I consider important : CCT air/oil cooled belt drive v-twin RSV liquid cooled shaft drive 4 cylinder I think the few things the CCT does have over the RSV : ABS brakes Fairing wind deflectors ....it's still being manufactured (some would add fuel injection but there are pros and cons with fuel injection vs carbs) Specification comparison... - wheel base on CCT is 65.7" and on RSV it is 67.1" - overall length of CCT is 108.1" vs RSV 104.5" - dry weight of CCT is 845lbs vs 807lb - horsepower of CCT 88.6 is vs RSV 97hp - torque of CCT is 106ft-lbs vs RSV 89ft-lbs - suspension travel : - forks - CCT 5.1" vs RSV 5.5" - rear shock - CCT 4.7" vs RSV 4.1" - seat height of CCT is 26.3" vs RSV 29.5" Although the CCT has a 106CI/1731cc motor, I still prefer the V4 over a twin. With 4 cylinders and liquid cooled, the RSV will run forever.
wrenchrob Posted June 13, 2014 #6 Posted June 13, 2014 I think they are absolutely georgeous! I have never ridden or even sat on one so can't comment on that.
midnightrider1300 Posted June 13, 2014 Author #7 Posted June 13, 2014 here it is right in front of my desk uggggggggg... it has 5 miles on it... $17,000.00 http://i1215.photobucket.com/albums/cc501/1hondaman1100/th_victory.jpg

I want to think it's below 20 ....
djh3 Posted June 14, 2014 #12 Posted June 14, 2014 OK Midnightrider here is something else that will just make you fry. How about a FREE Victory???? I just got an e-mail from them that is a challenge of sorts. If you buy a new Vic between certain dates in June and by the end of july you have the most verified mileage you get the bike free. Well I would almost be up for this except a couple of issues with work. But some Ib joker would by a new one and ride it from Calif to Alaska over threw Canada and down to Fl or something stupid like that.

I work Tuesday - Saturday 8-6 so I'm thinking aint no way I could win that.... but I'd darn sure like to try IF I had the time off .....
djh3 Posted June 14, 2014 #14 Posted June 14, 2014 I think I could put a hurtin on it for sure. But my luck would be I would get beat out by an IB guy and then just have "new" Vic with a ton of miles on it. Makes me wonder just how many miles would a guy be looking at having to put on his bike to "win" I took 400 miles a day times 30 days as I dont remember how long the contest is. But heck thats over 12K and I bet some will be over that. So a years worth of miles in say a month and then not win. Ouch
Oldodge Posted June 14, 2014 #16 Posted June 14, 2014 I went to a dealer to look at a Victory and fell in love with the Royal Star Venture. Go figure?
