when my bike is at operating temp and i accelerate

my temp gauge drops all the way to the botom as my revs increase

but if i hold the clutch in it operates as it should

does any one know why this may be :confused24::confused24::confused24:

I would check the wiring behind the headlight, more than likely a bad ground where those two devices enter the wiring harness

You can check the terminal on temp sender....under the riders right side,

remove the trianguliar side grille, (2 screws) under you will find 2 sensors....the sensor with bullet connector is temp gauge....very common to work loose, remove, squeeze ends a bit, reinstall.

The other sensor with flat connector is fan thermoswitch.
