Phoneman1981 Posted June 8, 2014 #1 Posted June 8, 2014 Hello: I attended a fund raising event for a fellow local rider yesterday. We live in a rural area with a very low violent crime rate. However none of is immune to random acts of violence. 60 days ago this local rider age 42 and his wife went to supper at a newly opened restaurant in a tiny Wyoming town nearby. As they were leaving, an intoxicated man attempted to rob the man. The victim was shot in the back and is now paralyzed from the waist down. His employer, coworkers and friends put on a benefit yesterday. Well attended, lots raffle prizes including his prize 1980 Honda Goldwing. Local businesses donated piles of prizes. Dispute the circumstances the victim was able to attend. Smiling and thankful to be alive. It makes me thankful to live in this caring region. A reminder that life can change in a moment.
