Venturous Randy Posted June 8, 2014 #1 Posted June 8, 2014 I got my very first motorcycle. I was 13 years old and my dad took me by the motorcycle shop and we picked up a brand new, candy apple red, 1964 125 Ducati Bronco. That was my introduction to motorcycling and I have been hooked ever since. I did take about twenty years off and started back at about 45 years old and have ridden about 160,000 miles since. I have been very lucky and so far, have done pretty good and it is still a big part of my life. RandyA
Wade 2000 Posted June 8, 2014 #2 Posted June 8, 2014 Congratulations on 50 years!! May we all be as fortunate to be riding this long:fingers-crossed-emo:thumbsup2:

For my first bike I had to wait until my Dad was in the hospital, he did not want me to get a bike at all. I had a neighbour go with me to look at a Kawi KZ400, bought and brought it home in my neighbours Van. Yup Dad was ticked, but he got over it, funny a few years later at work, he is waiting for Mom to come a get him, he walks into my little part of the warehouse where we worked and asks for the keys and my helmet to my Gold Wing. I guess he decided he had waited long enough and went home on my Gold Wing. Thanks again for sharing Randy. Mike

RandyR Posted June 9, 2014 #5 Posted June 9, 2014 Me too ! Bought a new black 1964 90cc Honda after graduating from HS. In 3 years I put 30,000miles on that 90cc before selling it to upgrade to a 305cc Superhawk.
ReinyRooster Posted June 9, 2014 #6 Posted June 9, 2014 My cousin on the farm got me hooked when we started riding dirt bikes on the farm...I was about 12.....been riding since.....some gaps in there due to children rearing responsibilities.....got back at it about 12-13 years ago and haven't looked back since. Can't live without it......well at least not live happily....
