Anyone out there have a way to attach your EZ-Pass to your RSV?

The holder I had for my RSTD does not work with my RSV.

Thanks for any ideas.

Different states I think have different "EZ Pass". Here in Fla the one I just had to replace because the state said something about phasing it out or some such was about 1/2-3/4" thick and 3" long. Orginaly was held inplace by velcro. I use to just put in my pocket and put in my mouth or heck it would even hit in my pocket most times. So I had to "upgrade" and mu choices were a credit card sized gizmo that stuck to the windshield. Not what I wanted because I swap it from the bike to the PU. Plus the sit says it will not work on a motorcycle windshield. So my option was this unit findNumberSlimPortable.png I either still keep in my pocket until I need it or it will stay pretty well on the windshield. I just stick it low and kind of on top of the dash.

I have one but haven't used it as yet...I have heard that you can carry them in a shirt, vest or jacket pocket and they will read from there...I also read on a Harley forum about people putting them on the inside lid of their trunks or saddle bags...I have stored my on the inside cover of my trunk...to avoid somebody carrying it off...I might try to see if it will read from there if not I guess I'll stick it in a pocket when I'm planning to use it.

I have a parking garage permit for opening the gates that is credit card sized, just thicker. I put it in a little name-tag holder on a lanyard that slips over my head . I normally have to get it out from under my coat for it to work.

Stick it to the inside top of the trunk lid.

FYI - If anyone is looking to get an EZ-Pass / I-Pass transponder, I recommend the NC Quick-Pass. In addition to it working on the NC toll system, it will work with all the I-Pass and EZ-Pass systems. And the kicker - it is the only other pass that will work with the Florida Sun-Pass system.

Mine suction cup inside the trunk lid and if it falls down and doesn't reads no worries there either as my tag # is on file and they still deduct funds from my account

I tried my EZ pass on the inside of the trunk lid, it hit about 1 out of 3 times.

I now just put it into a Ziploc baggy and toss it up on the dash. It always hits from there. Unless the bike is upside down it ain't going anywhere. I just have to remember to hide it when I make my many "gas" stops.

thanks for the input....think i will just velcro the pass to the top of the dash until someone makes a holder specific for the RSV

I like using a waterproof bag that Walmart sells in the camping section. I toss my ipass in it and attach it to my jacket or vest. Those things get stolen all the time and if it's on me it's ez

Lucky for us Floridians most of us dont have to worry about many toll roads. Well unless you live in Miami. A couple in Orlando and Tampa area. So I know when I'm going to be on one and its pretty easy to put it in my hi-vis vest pocket and it will hit from there.

Now up in the Chicago area where every five miles is another toll both is a different situation.

I just got a new one. Its shaped much different than the ten year old box one I had. This one is shorter, just as long slightly thicker and shaped like a V sorta perfect for the dash! I just use some of that Poster tack up Stuff on either side to prevent scratching and it worked like a champ!

I think any EZ pass works in any state except Maybe the FL and OK. At least mine from PA does.

I have a Car pass I use on the bike, the toll is Car rate but who cares Im not buying two.

As far as the truck thing goes, If you get into the rules, it must be on the windshield unless its they other kind of EZ pass like for a Bike specifically Or Auto Haulers use the same one because the car on top blocks the signal. So, try to use the dash. I loaned mine out once and got a ticket with a picture of it improperly mounted. Talked my way back out of it by telling them it was a new user.

Sure is nice to have it though thats foor sure.

has anyone ever drilled a hole in their windshield?

One idea I have had is to drill a hole small enough to put a small bolt w/rubber washers thru and use my chrome ez-pass holder. Seems that would work.:fingers-crossed-emo
