I traded and old three cylinder 75 kawasaki 400 for this 83 xvz 1200 two years ago. It wasnt perfect but ran greatand the trans had already been fixed. I have given it some tlc with the help of this site and today...New Fork springs, rebuilt carbs, new tires, replaced all oil and fluids. Blocked off the anti dive system greased the drive shaft. Wow! I have a fine runing machine with only 52000 miles on her. And what a pleasure she is to take out for a nice long run.

I just wanted to say thank you to all you folks who have contibuted to this site with info and photos and say what a great bunch you are for all your support. :080402gudl_prv:

I love this machine

Thanks again

I also blocked off the anti-dive after installing Progressive fork springs. The anti-dive is not really needed with the new springs and the anti-dive makes it a bigger job to bleed the front brakes. Also, the anti-dive makes the front brakes feel funny, especially after I de-linked them.
