A few months ago there was a thread about adding a resistor on the ground side of the turn signal relay (done inside the case with cutting a ground strap) to make the relay work with LED's. I did a search but didn't find it. What is the value of the resistor? Seems to me it was something small like .3 ohms. I need to do the mod...

Am I missing something?

I don't know the first thing about electronics but don't you need instructions on where to connect it..... OR is it that obvious?

You have to cut that ground strap that the resistor is mounted over Steve, and solder each resistor lead to each disconnected end of the strap. What you are doing is putting a resistor in series with the ground line to the guts of the flasher.

Mike thank you, I'm not sure why that thread didn't come up in my search...

This mod if for slowing down the flasher after switching to LEDs. It is used instead of adding an extra load via a ballast resistor to the turn signals. You take the cover off the turn signal flasher. Locate the wire loop inside the flasher and cut it. Solder the resistor into the wire loop. This will slow the flasher without adding additional load to the turn signal circuit.

The flasher on these bikes use an internal bypass circuit. Adding the resistor decreases the bypass current flow slowing the flasher.

Mucho Grat-si ass .

Now I know more of the stuff I didn't know. :rotf::rotf::rotf:

Still electronically dysfunctional ( but happier about it)
