Venturous Randy Posted May 30, 2014 #26 Posted May 30, 2014 Those self driving cars are scary. What happens a couple years down the road when the electronics start shorting out? Hey, think how many people are shorting out now while they are driving. RandyA
Dragonslayer Posted May 30, 2014 #27 Posted May 30, 2014 I have devoloped the habit when in the truck or on the bike If I pull up along side someone texting or using their cell I honk my horn and wave the NO NO finger at them. 9 times out of ten they put it down.I just did that on to way back to the office from lunch, A cute little blond rolls up next to me in a BMW sports car at a traffic light. She immediately picked up her phone and started texting. I beeped politely and when she looked over I gave her the no no finger. She smiled and put her phone down. That technique works and I feel so empowered.
DarrinGT Posted May 31, 2014 #28 Posted May 31, 2014 Very sad indeed!, A number of years ago my buddy and his wife were on their Honda Nigh Hawk stopped at a red light, He saw a car approaching behind him that had no intention of stopping, He Popped the clutch and hit the throttle to get out of the way, but his wife was not holding on, and with no backrest, she started to fall off the back of the bike,... but her feet got stuck under the armpits of my buddy, She stayed on, they got out of the way, the car blew the red light,,...and they sold the bike. Close one all the way around,..
Daitan Posted June 1, 2014 #29 Posted June 1, 2014 I was recently on the NYS thru way, and whole keeping up with the flow of traffic in the right lane. I had to swerve and hit the horn when I was almost side swiped because of car veering over into my lane from the hammer lane. I looked over at the car and driver, It was a man, who had his IPhone, in his right hand about where the radio was on the dash. Kinda leaned over trying to see what was on his phone. My first thought was to chase the son of a *****!!!! and follow him to where ever he was going, then have some WORDS!!! but then I settled down, and let him go. These iphones and the way people can't be without them for a freakin MINUTE, is gonna do allot more damage than it worth. Be careful out there, it's not so much of our driving, we have to watch out for everyone else.
