OrlinEngh Posted May 27, 2014 #1 Posted May 27, 2014 We got in Saurdays ride and talked with the owners of the BlueGosse and they said that after 1:00 for us as a group the best time to come there. its a 1/2 hour ride there, We can eat and then get in our ride that would put us back here between 4:00 and 5:00 I have made a route of 60 miles. That gets us back here for time to work somemore on the bikes if anyone wants to and set and relax and then the cookout and bonefire. I am wondering how this looks for those that are coming. I know that there are some that would like to set and relax and visit and there are those that do like to get in a ride during the day. And its very hard to come to this area and not get in a ride to see our part of the country. I wanted to see if this would work for the most of us, if you dont want to get in on the ride and just relax that is fine would like to work it out so we all have a good day. Thanks Orlin
Flyinfool Posted May 27, 2014 #2 Posted May 27, 2014 I guess it kind of depends on if there is a 30%er in the area........ 60 miles is about the upper limit for a day ride for a marshmallow butt. But then you have such great riding in your area.
bryan52577 Posted May 27, 2014 #3 Posted May 27, 2014 Looking forward to it! And like Jeff said.............. I don't want to hear anything about weather from Sharon! LOL If she told me I had a 30% chance of winning the lottery we would ALL be retired by now! And would be band from playing anymore by the lottery commision. LOL Bryan And in case you let her read this.... Love ya Sharon,
OrlinEngh Posted May 28, 2014 Author #4 Posted May 28, 2014 Sharon is not in charge of the weather reporting this year,A couple of Rum balls and couple sips of Apple pie is all it will take:whistling:. Maybe we can talk Ken into putting in a good word to Mother Nature for us:lightbulb:. Orlin
OrlinEngh Posted May 31, 2014 Author #5 Posted May 31, 2014 We went over to the Blue Goose for Pizza and Ice cream Thursday evening, very good, there is room to set inside and out, the one down side is it is a gravel parking lot but it is fairly flat and easy to get in and out so we shouldnt have any troubles at all. As far as the ride goes I can ad more to it if the day is nice and we all want to ride some more, the route I have planed has some nice twisty windy roads along with some very nice ridge top views and this is a nice easy going ride we dont get in a hurry around here. Flyinfool Posted May 31, 2014 #7 Posted May 31, 2014 I realize that I am old, and the wolves are after me. But I still ain't old enough for a 2nd gen. I am planning to send my seat in to the butt butler this fall. Everyone's butt has been very happy with his work.
Rick Haywood Posted May 31, 2014 #8 Posted May 31, 2014 Orlin i'm in for most anything and Jeff after 60 miles I haven't even found the sirius station I want to listen to. Now 600 is a good days ride:thumbsup2:
