loehring Posted March 9, 2008 #1 Posted March 9, 2008 Quick question..... Is there a difference between the front and rear brake pads on a 1st Gen? I have one set of pads and the 2 front look fine but the rear looks like it's getting a little close. I was going to change them this week but I don't want to do something stupid. (like I usually do.) I don't know which these are if there is a difference.
loehring Posted March 9, 2008 Author #3 Posted March 9, 2008 Thanks Squeez. Now I don't have to buy anything. (at least this time)
greg_in_london Posted March 21, 2008 #4 Posted March 21, 2008 Some brake pad manufacturers list a high friction for the front and low friction (for higher mileage) for the back. They are interchangeable, but there is a chance that in the back your front pads will wear out faster than expected. Just check after a couple of thousand miles that wear is not too fast.
