Bert2006 Posted May 21, 2014 #1 Posted May 21, 2014 HARLEY DAVIDSON SCREAMIN EAGLE STOCK CVO MUFFLERS FLH TOURING 96-LATER Has anyone tried these on a Second Gen? The price is really good, but wonder how they perform? Assume they would install the same as any other HD slip-on we can use on the RSV. rickardracing Posted May 21, 2014 #2 Posted May 21, 2014 That is the current "bid". They will probably go up considerably in price.
Bert2006 Posted May 21, 2014 Author #3 Posted May 21, 2014 Yea but how do they fit and sound on the RSV?
BratmanXj Posted May 21, 2014 #4 Posted May 21, 2014 I have a similar set of pipes on my '99 RSV, I believe these would be the "98db" model and I have the "103db" model that were discontinued. Mine sound good at idle, almost like a pair of v-star 650's sitting next to each other at idle. Nice burble but not a lot of low "bass" tone. Mid-RPM has the typical Small Block V-8 tone. They are not overly obnoxious at highway speeds. Again, not a lot of low-end "bass" in the tone. Overall I was happy with the $40 I spend for the pipes & $40 for the clamps, I made my own brackets.
djh3 Posted May 21, 2014 #5 Posted May 21, 2014 WOW close to $150. I dont know if they would sound much more different than a stock pair of RK muffs. Maybe a little louder I dont know. You would think being they are Screamin Eagles they would be louder. Evidently not loud enough for the Harley guy getting rid of them.
